We have been located at the same address in Iran for 19 years. Our Tehran office presently has an office manager and seven full time employees.

We have five full time employees in our Ontario office. Between our two offices we have over 500 active files in different categories. Janet C Yates participated in the first Seneca Immigration Practitioner Program in 1998 and passed with honors. English is her first language and she is also fluent in the Farsi language. She has studied in the United States at the University of Pittsburg in Pittsburg Kansas. She has participated in the Melab test passed in Toronto on November 25, 2005 and passed the test on the first try. She also met all requirements (on first test attempt) to become a full member CSIC in February 2006. She was a local staff employee at the Canadian Embassy in Tehran Iran from 1990 – 1996. She received the Canadian Minister’s citation for Consular Excellence in 1994. She is an equal partner in Mahmoudzadeh & Associates since 1996 when she immigrated to Canada. She is a proud Canadian citizen since 2000. She also holds American and Iranian citizenship. She is a member of ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council), CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants), and ICAlC (Iranian Canadian Association of Immigration Consultants).

Mohammad Mahmoudzadeh started Mahmoudzadeh & Associates in 1992 with his first office in Tehran, Iran and opened his second office in Toronto in 1997. He is fluent in both English and Farsi languages. He went to the United States at the age of 17 years. He studied in the United States and received two degrees from the University of Pittsburg in Pittsburg Kansas. He also met all requirements (on first test attempt) to become a full member CSIC in March 2006. He holds both Canadian and Iranian citizenship. Frequently Asked Questions

How much time does it take to obtain a Canadian permanent residence visa?  It takes between 3-5 years, depending on the country of your application. If you don’t submit proper documents you overall processing time may increase.

Is it mandatory to stay in Canada after landing? It is not mandatory to stay in Canada after landing, however your permanent resident status will be revoked if you are absent from Canada for more than 2 years in a 5 year period, from the date of your landing.

When can I become a Canadian citizen? Generally, Canadian citizenship can be obtained after 3 years of permanent residence in Canada

Can my relatives also immigrate to Canada? Yes your relative can apply under Family Class category provided you are an eligible sponsor. Eligible sponsors i.e., spouses and parents — who can bring their dependent children, such as brothers and sisters of the sponsor — are eligible to apply, and may qualify. The sponsor must have a certain minimum income to be eligible for sponsorship. This minimum income requirement does not apply for those who wish to sponsor a spouse.

Is an interview necessary? Most of the time, interviews for the principal applicant and dependents is required; however, they can be waived also, if the applicant either shows that they have sufficient points to pass, or insufficient points with no chance of getting more in an interview. The interview is used to verify the information provided in the application and to assess the applicants’ abilities in English and/or French languages, and to determine the personal suitability of applicants to successfully settle in Canada.

How is the job market in Canada and is my particular occupation in demand? Skilled worker applicants, especially in the areas of technology, science, finance and engineering should be able to find a rewarding job in Canada.

Does permanent residents visit and work in the United States? Canadian citizens are not required to obtain visas to enter the U.S., and may be eligible for employment in the U.S. under the NAFTA agreement. However, permanent residents of Canada need visa to enter and work in USA.
